Remote Robotics Laboratory for Circuit Analysis and Design 2021-2023
Co‐designed the first remote CAD experiment between the University of Glasgow and the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC).
I co‐designed the first remote CAD experiment between the University of Glasgow and the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), integrating remote robotics, student‐friendly GUI, and circuit analysis. I developed and maintained a remote‐control robotic lab using a 7‐DoF Franka Emika Panda robotic arm, allowing ~2000 students to perform real‐time circuit design experiments remotely over two years.
The work has been reported by University of Glasgow & UESTC as a pioneering case of innovative remote learning during the pandemic: Robot arm lends a hand to socially-distanced engineering students.
This work has also been reported by The Scotland 5G Centre and Glasgow City of Science & Innovation.
This work lead to the Teaching Excellence Award for my supervisor Dr Philip Zhao.
All the UIs and functions are independently developed by myself via Android Studio.
